Castile Historical Society & Museum
The Castile Historical House was built in the 1800's right after the civil war, by Henry L. Cummings who lived here with his wife and daughter. When he returned from serving in the Civil War, he had opened a spice mill that was his livelyhood for many years.
In 1956 Mrs. Annie Eddy purchased the house and donated it to the Castile Historical Society in memory of her husband, John E. Eddy. The house became a museum for local history.
