Ring in 2024, with a First Day Hike in Letchworth State Park. Celebrate the beautify of our region, and the 100th birthday year of NYS Parks, Recreation, and Historic Preservation.
On Jan. 1, get a free centennial bandana at any meeting location for First Day Hikes while supplies last. First Day Hike adventures include:
- Hike to Hogsback Overlook - 10am meet at South Highbanks Shelter, near the swimming pool parking lot. Enter through the Mount Morris entrance at 2640 Park Rd, Mount Morris, NY. 1.5 miles, moderate.
- Waterfalls Hike - 10am meet at the Humphrey Nature Center, between the Visitor Center and Inspiration Point. Enter through the Castile entrance at 6787 Denton Corners Rd, Castile, NY. 2 miles, moderate.
- Hike Around Trout Pond - 10:30am meet at the Humphrey Nature Center, between the Visitor Center and Inspiration Point. Enter through the Castile entrance at 6787 Denton Corners Rd, Castile, NY. 1.5 miles, easy.
- Canyon Hike - 1pm meet at the Humphrey Nature Center, between the Visitor Center and Inspiration Point. Enter through the Castile entrance at 6787 Denton Corners Rd, Castile, NY. 2 miles, moderate.
- Hike to the Mount Morris Dam - 1pm meet at South Highbanks Shelter in Letchworth State Park, near the swimming pool parking lot. Enter through the Mount Morris Entrance at 2640 Park Rd, Mount Morris, NY. 1.5 miles, moderate.
